Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc fellowship in Evolutionary Genomics
Our research projects generally focus on (a) genetic consequences of past range dynamics, (b) spatial analysis of genetic variation, (c) analysis of mutational load, (c) detecting genetic variants of climate adaptation, or more rarely (e) functional molecular analyses. Our group has recently sequenced the whole genome of individuals of many populations of North American Arabidopsis, and of a handful of Brassicaceae species differing in elevational distribution in the Swiss Alps. Therefore, population genomic data reflect a wide range of geographic, climatic and other clines.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position in mountain ecology
The core of your work will be based on a very large and unique Europe-wide database that comprises re-surveys of historical vegetation data since the middle of the 19th century with multiple observations over time. These data will be used to assess temporal dynamics of accrued lags during the last century and to improve future predictions. You will have the opportunity to design your research agenda together with the group and prepare project proposals. The position comprises participation in academic teaching at the University of Basel.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Open Postdoc Position in Aerosol and Atmospheric Sciences
A Postdoc position is available to characterise the reactivity of aerosol particles generated in laboratory experiments (e.g., flow tubes). Metal and organic particles will be generated in situ, reacted with atmospherically relevant trace gases and the effect on particle as well as on trace gas composition will be investigated. Fundamental reaction mechanism, especially involving metal particles, and the effects of these reactions on particle toxicity will be studied.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: 1 Postdoctoral Fellow
We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow (100%) with strong interest in experimental imaging in the field of cardiology. The applicant is expected to have a background in either vascular biology or biomedical engineering and experience in imaging and image processing. The applicant should be able to work exactly, independently and flexibly. The candidate will be responsible for his/her own project within the research group, including carrying out experiments, data analysis and interpretation, as well as drafting manuscripts, and will collaborate with PhD students and other group members in their respective projects. Very important is a keen interest in learning new methods (flow chamber experiments, small animal surgery, intravital microscopy, ultrasound imaging).

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-doctoral fellow in Cancer Immunology
Our research is dedicated to delineate mechanisms of anti-tumor immunity in tumor models and cancer patients. A major focus is the preclinical and clinical development of immunotherapeutic strategies against cancer. Projects include the characterization of the innate and adaptive immunity in human tumors, the analysis of mechanisms of tumor-associated immune cell dysfunction including immmuno-modulatory receptors, and the development of strategies to reinvigorate immune cell function.

The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to establish an independent line of research in the context of aquatic microplastics complementary to the current research activity. Potential research avenues include the study of microplastic distribution and fate in the aquatic environment, potential effects on biota, and/or the microbial biofilms that colonize aquatic plastic debris, i.e. the plastisphere.
