The PUNCH4NFDI consortium aims at a sustainable utilisation of research data and the establishment of a FAIR data management for particle physics, astroparticle physics, astronomy, and hadron&nuclear physics. In doing so, the consortium builds especially on unique expertise in “big data” management, in “open data” and in data transformations. The consortium, which is part of the German national research data infrastructure (Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur, NFDI) represents more than 40 institutions – university institutes, Max Planck institutes, Helmholtz centres, as well as Leibniz institutes.

The program aims to understand climate changes, taking into account internal variability, extreme events, and unexpected side effects, addressing the natural and social spheres as well as their interactions. Thus CLICCS’ overarching research question is: which climate futures are possible and which are plausible? CLICCS will investigate how climate changes and how society changes with it, thereby feeding back on climate. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Associate for the Project “ANNIE” (Neutrino Physics – Cross Section Measurements with ANNIE)
The main task of the position holder will be the analysis of neutrino interactions with charged currents without pions in ANNIE. The goal is to determine the effective cross sections of these reactions on water, taking into account neutron multiplicity, and to compare them with the theoretical expectation. For this purpose, the GiBUU framework for ANNIE will be implemented and applied. In doing so, the job holder shall take a leading role in this analysis within the ANNIE collaboration. In addition, the potential of ANNIE in this analysis for antineutrinos will be investigated and the microstructure of the neutrino beam will be included in the analysis.
