About Faculty Position: Adjunct Faculty – Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is seeking to recruit adjunct faculty members from diverse specializations of psychology, including methodology (statistics, research), basic psychologies (social, developmental, cognitive, biopsychology, etc.), applied psychologies (testing/assessment, organizational, educational, health, forensic, personal growth, etc.), special topical areas (trauma, gender, addiction, etc.), counseling/clinical psychology, and community psychology (program evaluation, NGO consultation, etc.). Candidates should view the list of psychology courses at catalog.aucegypt.edu to indicate which courses they are qualified to teach including special topics courses. Successful candidates will be listed in a database of potential instructors who may be invited to teach part-time in subsequent semesters depending on departmental needs.
About Faculty Position: Adjunct Faculty – Economics
The Department of Economics at the School of Business, The American University in Cairo, invites applications for adjunct faculty positions. Experienced candidates will be teaching undergraduate courses at the introductory and intermediate levels as well as teaching at the graduate level. The Graphic Design program at the Department of the Arts is requesting a full-time tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Design Theory to begin Fall 2021.
The successful applicant will be required to teach six courses per academic year (three courses per semester). The candidate will teach and supervise undergraduate and graduate courses in design history and theory, and special topics within the applicant’s expertise. About Faculty Position: Cognitive Psychology faculty position
The Department of Psychology welcomes applications for a full-time four-year position in the field of Cognitive Psychology, to begin in Fall 2021. The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to cognitive psychology, general psychology, and statistics/methodology, as well as selected topics courses within the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate is expected to have an active research agenda and to pursue internal and external grant funding. The candidate is expected to play an active role in departmental, school, and university service activities.
About Faculty Position: Psychology faculty position
The Department of Psychology welcomes applications for a full-time professor of practice position (associate-level or professor-level) as Director of the department’s Psychological Counseling Services and Training Center, to begin Fall 2021. The typical contract is four years with an opportunity for renewal contingent upon excellent performance. The in-house training clinic is an integral component of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology designed to ensure that graduate students have access to high-quality training at practicum and internship level. The center currently provides between 1,500-2,000 hours of direct contact hours to clients from the university community over an academic year.
