The Cenik Lab at UT Austin (https://ceniklab.github.io/) is seeking motivated and ambitious postdoctoral researchers to study translation control. We have recently developed a ribosome profiling strategy that can be applied to ultra-low input samples. The applicant will be responsible for further optimizing the strategy to enable the first single cell measurements of ribosome occupancy and will collaborate with domain experts to apply these methods to address critical biological problems.

Conduct research under the direction of Sarah Kate Bearman, Ph.D. in the laboratory for Leveraging Evidence and Advancing Practice for Youth Mental Health (LEAP Lab) at UT Austin. Activities may include co-directing an NIMH-funded randomized clinical trial of the FIRST treatment protocol (Weisz & Bearman, 2020), training and providing consultation to community clinicians who are research participants, oversight of online clinician feedback systems and clinician competency assessment, and database management. Manuscript preparation and grant-writing will be encouraged and supported, consistent with the individual’s research interests.

Functioning somewhat independently, the Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct computational modeling related to the optimal mode of delivery, optimal timing of delivery, and time series analysis of digital phenotype data of the NSF funded study, initiated by and under supervision of Drs. Karl Schulz and Radek Bukowski. Using established procedures and in some cases designing new protocols, the Postdoctoral Researcher will develop decision support tools allowing the clinical use of the developed models, summarize findings and publish results in research journals.
